Position Summary:

OneView Commerce, Inc. is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in Austin, TX.  Reporting to the Director of DevOps Engineering, this position will be responsible for general automation improvements, as well as drive focus in our current security and software quality initiatives.  From the earliest stages of the development lifecycle, this role will make a difference in improving the product quality and security with continuous testing.  The Devops Engineer will also help ensure our product’s security is maintained and improved with regular automated code and dependency analysis.  This role will be responsible for the timely communication of issues by developing and configuring automated alerts and notifications. 


  • Automation of RESTful API testing
  • Automation of UI and end-to-end tests
  • Configuration of analytics tools to enable a data-driven approach to quality improvements
  • Dependency update automation 
  • Automating static code analysis for security issues 
  • Automating the follow-on testing of changes proposed by automated systems
  • Perform the automated testing within a CI/CD environment
  • Configuration of alerting and analysis systems tailored to the topics of security
  • Continue to develop our DevOps culture by collaborating with the appropriate team members
  • Keep abreast of improvements in DevOps tooling and practices, as well as related software development and methodologies topics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience implementing, improving and reporting on test automation and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in Restful API and UI testing.
  • Hands-on AppSec implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP models, web protocols, and related security practices.
  • Understanding of encryption concepts and implementation. 
  • Knowledge of threat models, like MITRE ATT&CK and vulnerability reporting systems such as  CVE.
  • Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD systems such as CircleCI, GitLab, GitHub Actions, etc. 
  • Experience with Git version control systems and their management.
  • Proficiency in either Javascript or Python, and at minimum an intermediate level of experience with the other language.
  • Proficiency with Unix-based systems.
  • Software and automation engineering experience within a DevOps culture.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple responsibilities and competing priorities. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Core security proficiency in one of the following: Offensive/Red Team, Defensive/Blue Team, or Threat Intel. 
  • Direct experience with cloud computing providers and frameworks: AWS, Azure, Terraform, Serverless.
  • Knowledge of microservices architectures.
  • TypeScript development experience
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM and log aggregation/analysis systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with relational and non-relational databases.
